Service Professional Agreement

Draft — pending legal review
⚠ Working draft. A lawyer should finalize this before publication, particularly Sections 2 (Independent Contractor Status), 6 (Payments), and 7 (Insurance) — the insurance language especially carries real liability weight.

1. Purpose

This Agreement governs your use of Prizania as a service professional — cleaning, lawn care, maintenance, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or photography — offering services to property owners.

2. Independent contractor status

You are an independent contractor, not a Prizania employee. You're not entitled to employee benefits, Prizania doesn't supervise your work, and you choose which jobs to accept. Nothing here creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship.

3. How you find work

You don't contact owners unsolicited. You can respond to a job an owner has posted, or send a single one-time "Hello" to an owner whose profile interests you — after that, further outreach to that owner isn't permitted unless they respond first. This protects owners from being treated as a lead list, and it's a platform rule, not just a norm.

4. Your profile

Credentials — license, insurance proof, background check — are optional and never block you from publishing a profile or accepting jobs. Verified credentials do move you higher in search results within your category. See Community Guidelines, Identity Verification.

5. Licensing

If your trade requires a license (electrical, HVAC, plumbing), you must hold a valid, current one and provide proof if requested. Misrepresenting a license or certification is grounds for removal.

6. Payments & fees

WhatCost
Profile + license verificationFree
Background checkAt cost, ~$20 (optional, refreshed annually)
Membership (job board + leads)$15–25/mo
Marketplace fee, on jobs Prizania sourced3% of job total
Marketplace fee, on jobs from an owner you brought yourselfWaived
Payment is authorized when an owner accepts your response, and released to you once you mark the job complete. If the owner raises no dispute within 3 days, it releases automatically and in full — you don't need the owner to take any action to get paid.

7. Insurance

You're required to carry your own general liability insurance appropriate to your trade. Prizania verifies proof of it for your "Bonded & Insured" badge, but does not provide insurance coverage to you or act as a substitute for it. You're responsible for any damage or injury arising from your work.

8. Doing the work

Complete accepted jobs as agreed, or communicate promptly if something changes. Access to a property is for the scope of the job only — no sharing access codes, no unauthorized visitors. Report property damage to the owner immediately, with photos if possible.

9. Reviews

Owners can review completed jobs. Reviews must be honest and based on real work performed.

10. Suspension

Your account may be suspended for fraud, falsified credentials, repeated no-shows, unsafe conduct, or failure to maintain required insurance or licensing — see the Account Review process for how that decision is made and how to appeal it.
